Jeans On Jeans by Adam Fox (3)

2- Complement in weight and wash

Wearing some flimsy chambray shirt with heavy jeans doesn’t count as double denim. It’s cheating. And the result isn’t nearly as impactful as the runway-worthy, ‘70s-inspired original. With any luck, you already know that a wussy pair of thin, elastane-infused jeans should be burned stat. That leaves one option: sturdy denim all around. Washes should likewise come from the same family. Vintage with vintage, clean with clean -- you get the idea.
