Now what should you avoid? Avoid any jeans that feature too much of anything. Your best bet is to keep the details to a minimum. For example, steer clear of jeans with very pronounced mustaches under the front pockets -- they're tacky at best. As well, any big bleached patches are not a good idea. And leave the lace, fringes and jewels for Christina, Britney and the Material Girl. Finally, remember that most jeans shrink when put in the dryer for the first time, so watch out because knee-length pants are only a good idea during summer.
